Hi Rose
Sorry that you have a new pain to cope with, hope it disappears as swiftly as it came. Also hope that your work situation improves as I am sure the stress of having to meet targets does not help your health.
Best Wishes
Sue

hello All
Thank you for all replies.
I tried to see my GP today , about this awful pain I am getting over past 10 days or so, however he was fully booked. I am getting a ring back tomorrow morning. I have been taking max Tramadol and this is not making the pain any easier. Naomi I was interested to read your post. It also appears a few of you have similar instances like I have had.
Since my RTX though I am getting sharp pains almost anywhere with this awful numbness/pins needles etc.
I do see the Specialist first wk in May. See what they suggest, as I previously said they also think I may have puesdo gout ? ? and / or condrocalcinosis ?? so watch.
I had had the last week off for holiday and I returned yesterday for my first 6 hrs of the wk., ugh I do so worry about everything at the moment. Due to go again tomorrow after spoken to GP.
I failed on mtx in as much as my liver played up, it was stopped a couple of times and restarted but each time my liver had bad levels.
Take care all
Rose x

hi Rose,
just caught up here, i've been away on a short break to Wiltshire which was cold wet and windy but other than that was a nice relaxing time, also went to a wedding reception last night and i do feel very tired.
anyway enough of me,
i'm really sorry to hear there's no improvement for you and that you are still experiencing the sharp pains along with pins and needles. i think the sooner your Rheumy appointment comes round the better.
i really admire the fact that you soldier on at work with all you've been through,
let's know what your GP had to say in the meantime,
take care of yourself,
Suzanne x

Hello,
Yes spoke toGP and saw him on Thursday. He was a bit stuck with my pain in my ribs actually. Thought it could be muscle pain, so the intercostal muscle . . . . Rest and keep taking the tablets. It is slightly easier today so I am hopingit may be on the mend. He signed me off for 10 days.
However, I have fallen again and I fell out of my back door and hit my head on the garage wall, so bad head, graized bruised and now have a black eye as well. Look a right site > ha ha. I do not appear to pick my feet up properly which causes me to fall. I have had 4 now in as many weeks.
Suzanne Glad to hear you are doing well. If you in Wiltshire you would not be far away from me.

have to say i trip over quite easily these days but not actually fallen fortunately .. i don't pick my feet up enough and i always catch curbs, pavement's and even the ceramic tiles on my kitchen floor which are laid well but somehow i find the cracks!!
glad you've got the time off, hope it helps you.
i did wonder when i was in Wiltshire if i was near you but we weren't far into it ( near Marlborough )
let's know how you get on when you've had your Rheumy appointment,

Hello Rose. It's very concerning that you have had so many falls lately. I don't want to seem bossy or interfering but I think this should be investigated further so that the precise reason can be identified and strategies put in place to prevent further occurrences. In South Devon we actually have specialist 'falls nurses'! Did you know such a thing existed? We've all heard of rehumatology nurses and asthma nurses....but a falls nurse! Anyway, they are specially trained to identify the causes and remedies for people who have suddenly begun falling. It's just a thought. Thanks for continuing with your blog even when things are difficult and painful. These blogs really help me to cope with my own illness, and I'm sure this goes for other readers too.......so thank you, and best wishes, Naomi.

Hi Rose Sorry bit late catching up with your posts. Hope you are now a little on the mend after the nasty fall, just the last thing you need with it all. Hope all goes well for you next week when you see the specialist, no doubt you will make a list so that you don t missed any bits out after all you have been going through I found it so difficult in the past trying to remember it all, especially if you have a consultant who rather likes to rush things Best wishes Julia xx

Thank you Doreen, Julia and Naomi,
I have started making my list for next Friday.
I notice on another blog there is a mention of Costochondritis regarding pain to the ribs well I have been having this, as mentioned before. My GP did not know what is was but it came on suddenly and the only way to describe it is under my shoulder blade and goes through to my ribs and into my breast all on the left side. So I wander if this could be what I have at the mo.
Naomi I will speak and bring up with the Spec next wk when I see her. Thank you

Hi Rose Not been on my laptop much the past few weeks ... seem to forget to breathe properly when I'm concentrating on typing! Yes, really Then I end up with a coughing fit and sore chest!! Anyways ... Rose, why are you falling over? Are you really not picking up your feet? Is it something you have always done or is it of recent origin? I think it needs mentioning at your appointment on Friday. Along with pins and needles/numbness it could be indicative of other problems, not that I want to give you any more than you already have! It could be something to do with your medication. Definitely worth getting it checked out. The chest pains may be costochondritis, certainly sounds as though the symptoms are similar. Hope you're now starting to feel a little better after the fall and the bumps and bruises are starting to heal. Glad to hear you have got some time off work, a time to recharge those batteries again. Hope your appointment goes well and you at last come out with a proper diagnosis (whatever it is!) and a treatment plan in place for the coming months. Take 'extra' care (the ordinary amount simply isn't enough for you these days Rose! ) Lyn x

Ah bless you Lynn, I have commented on your own blogg, but I do so hope you get sorted soon this must be awful Lynn with the breathing. I saw my Mum suffer she had lung problems, and my sister is a crash asthmatic . I have seen both of them so poorly so can imagine how you must be feeling Chin up . I went to work yesterday, it was very busy and me being who I, thought the Manager briefly asked how I was, but I could tell she was not interested really. The other 3 did not even ask me. 10 days away and I obviously not missed . . . I hope that I was it is me being extra sensitive. Ended working an extra half hour as well. So resting now. Picking up my Grand daughter from school shortly so she will keep me amused. Making lots of notes for Friday so will let you all know what is said. Rose x
